On November 8th, in early afternoon, Winnie had a TINY (peanut sized) baby in the nest box. She hadn't pulled any fur, and it was ice cold. I quickly took it out and used the hairdryer to warm it up. That worked quickly, and it stayed in my shirt all day. I knew she was still pregnant, because her sides were still bulging and I felt kicks. So I was planning on putting that baby back in the nest box once she had others and *hopefully* pulled fur. We waited hours, and even dried lavender didn't make Winnie go into labor (and that always works). We were worried they were stuck and were planning on taking her to the vet in the morning if she still hadn't delivered. We gave Winnie some additional homeopathic remedies, said prayers for her, and went to bed. I kept the baby in my room overnight with a hot water bottle and bundled it up with wool. Before I went to bed, I told my mom I was praying Winnie would have three big babies overnight and would pull fur. And when I woke up...that's EXACTLY what I saw. What are the odds?? God is GOOD and always answers prayers! I put the tiny baby back in the nest box and she seemed to be doing well until this morning, and we tried all we could to help her but sadly she passed this afternoon 💔 She is with the angels now. Rest in peace sweet baby.
The others are doing well, and have big bellies! The colors are so pretty and I'm excited to watch them grow! Feeling so blessed!
"Wee little baby fresh from God's arms, you light up the world with your sweet baby charms. May God ever bless you with love and grace, and may joy always shine on your dear little face."
